Time running out for Windows XP. Now there are less than 900 days until support Microsoft does not continue for decades-old operating system.
More precisely, there are 893 days until the Redmond company pulled the plug on its predecessor Windows Vista.
In a sense, XP will live on borrowed time, because mainstream support for the operating system ends on 14 April 2009.
But as this is the case with a number of products, XP move the Extended Support phase, which is scheduled to expire on April 9, 2014.
